Joab saw that there were battle lines in front of him and behind him; so he selected some of the best troops in Israel and deployed them against the Arameans. 10 He put the rest of the men under the command of Abishai his brother and deployed them against the Ammonites. 11 Joab said, “If the Arameans are too strong for me, then you are to come to my rescue; but if the Ammonites are too strong for you, then I will come to rescue you. 12 Be strong, and let us fight bravely for our people and the cities of our God. The Lord will do what is good in his sight.”

Do we have foresight? battle lines are always present in our lives. Whether it is time, pride, some person you have not forgiven. Each is its own battle line. Are we prepared? A Christian walk without battle lines are not a Christian walk at all. If you face no challenges and battles, then you are not growing and not progressing with Christ. Your relationship with Christ is more often than not in the backwards glide. Recently, i have faced problems, discovered problems that i was oblivious to. Discovering new battle lines. These are potential victories. Victories that can glorify God. And we dont have to fight the battle but to walk with Him and claim the victory that He has won. Then comes the question that you need good community support for you to go into a battle. Do you have reliable Christian friends to rely on? To get feedback? To walk with? To account to? Then when we prepare and work through the battle, then the Lord will do what is good in his sight. Similarly, in our lives, the Lord will do what is good in His sight. Not necessary good to us but good in His sight. And we just have to trust Him and keep His promise: "All things happens for the good of Christ.
