8 “Would you discredit my justice?
Would you condemn me to justify yourself?
9 Do you have an arm like God’s,
and can your voice thunder like his?
10 Then adorn yourself with glory and splendor,
and clothe yourself in honor and majesty.
11 Unleash the fury of your wrath,
look at all who are proud and bring them low,
12 look at all who are proud and humble them,
crush the wicked where they stand.
13 Bury them all in the dust together;
shroud their faces in the grave.
14 Then I myself will admit to you
that your own right hand can save you.
The Lord spoke the Job these! I just found these amazing. Firstly it is God who questions Job. God asks Job this question.:
Would you discret my justice? Would you condemn me to justify yourself?
We really do that a lot. We live on this earth and a lot of things seem to be out of our control. We dont understand a lot of things. More over, we cannot see the big picture. We are limited by our human understanding and we can only comprehend the now. That is a huge limitation. Compare that to God who can comprehend everything. He see everything and can control everything. We are in some situation and we dont understand why, we try to justify ourselves, we try so hard to come out with our own version of reasoning. Like, I have already done this and that. We question God, we ask God of the reason why are we in this situation. We ask and question God. But do we condemn God to justify ourselves? We question him to the point of condemnation? We ask Him why are we in this situation? We question and blame God? We disobey Him? God is justice. There is no question about that! we know that is true but yet sometimes we go back and condemn Him. God describes His glory in the rest of the verses. Although mankind can achieve many things, but none can be compared with what God can do. Himself.
