22 Also with the lute I will praise You—
And Your faithfulness, O my God!
To You I will sing with the harp,
O Holy One of Israel.
23 My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to You,
And my soul, which You have redeemed.
24 My tongue also shall talk of Your righteousness all the day long;
For they are confounded,
For they are brought to shame
Who seek my hurt.
And Your faithfulness, O my God!
To You I will sing with the harp,
O Holy One of Israel.
23 My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to You,
And my soul, which You have redeemed.
24 My tongue also shall talk of Your righteousness all the day long;
For they are confounded,
For they are brought to shame
Who seek my hurt.
Hmm a lute actually looks like this
Well it really looks like a guitar doesn't it! It is quite similar, gituar with more strings!
String instruments are generally "liked" by God and it is mentioned everywhere in the bible! Harp, Lute, etc... Oh Trumpets too! But trumpets are used less often. String instruments are usually used to praise the Lord.
How much of our time is dedicated to praising the Lord? How long? What is the length of that time?
It says in this verse:
My tongue also shall talk of Your righteousness all the day long
All day long. Really all day long, how long do we actually praise His holy Name?? That is a very good question eh.
God suddenly reminded me of one thing. Regardless the reason you came to Christ, like you came because you felt "obligated", because of friends, because of someone you like asked you to come cell-group, because you wanted to learn guitar(yes you will be surprised)? I challenge all of you to let that down, what ever reason that you had to make you come cell group and really come with an open heart and seek the Lord.
If any of us continue to have that mentality, having the reason to seek the Lord, that is not right. It was meant to be a stepping stone, not the end goal. You are there for a reason, come and seek the Lord.
