Good Friday and Easter

For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance[a]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas,[b] and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.

On Friday, God died for our sins on this fateful friday and on the third day rose again. We must be reminded what Christ paid for all our sins, by death. Our sins and paid in full by Christ, and He paid by dying on the cross. We should meditate on that and thank God for that. He died on the cross so that he can say:

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, so that whoever who believes in Him shall not perish but shall receive eternal life.

Amidst all the celebration that Christ died for us, we share His pain and love for people. The pain that He has being crucified because of something that He did not do, yet He still chose to come down to earth to carry out the divine plan.

Lord I thank you for dying on the cross for me, I thank Jesus for coming down to Earth to die on the cross. Lord, because of that, we all can be blameless and set free from sin. I pray that besides celebration, Christians would share your suffering, for man and for love of man. Lord I thank you once again, i pray in your most glorious name, AMEN.
