Matthew 19:13-15

¹³ Then little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought them.

¹⁴ Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” ¹⁵ When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.

so, 19:13, Jesus wants us to be like little children because children, tend to have great faith in things and faith is what is needed to approach God.Children were also more willing then in contrast to the stubbornness of religious leaders who allowed their education & sophistication stand in the way of the simple faith needed to believe in Jesus.

So.."stand in the way of the simple faith needed to believe in Jesus."

This really spoke to me tonight because I've been going through projects the past weeks and I didn't do my quiet time.Truth be told, disappointingly this also shows me how little faith I had in my heavenly Father and how I overlooked quiet time. Realising it only now.

That is why tonight even though I could have used this time to revise, I've decided to give it up to God.

Which leads me to :

Matthew 19:17-21

17 Jesus answered, "Why do you ask me about what is good? Only God is good. But if you want to have life forever, obey the commands." 18 The man asked, "Which commands?" Jesus answered, "'You must not murder anyone; you must not be guilty of adultery; you must not steal; you must not tell lies about your neighbor; 19 honor your father and mother; and love your neighbor as you love yourself.'" 20 The young man said, "I have obeyed all these things. What else do I need to do?" 21 Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, then go and sell your possessions and give the money to the poor. If you do this, you will have treasure in heaven. Then come and follow me."

->What good is it if I spend so much time worrying about my worst subject than putting faith in Jesus himself? who has made me a conqueror in all righteous things I do?So this verse was also asking me

"Are you willing to do QT tonight or just carry on with revision without second thought"

All earthly possessions will one day fade -Grades,money, etc

Well I'm glad I made a choice and it's one that I will stick to from this day forth.
